Food for Thought

On Sunday, Sept. 23, Echelon Syracuse held their Brunch in the Alley fundraiser in the alley in front of Sky Armory, 351 S. Clinton St. The brunch was to raise awareness and programming of Salvation Army Syracuse Area Services (SAS) dedicated to combating homelessness.

Echelon Syracuse is the young professional outreach organization of SAS. Its goal is to encourage the upcoming generations to give back to their community through The Salvation Army by providing a variety of opportunities for young adults to engage with the organization through networking, fundraising, and volunteering.

Sunday’s event raised over $3,000 to go to SAS programming. A huge thank you to goes out to Sky Armory and The Hayner Hoyt Corporation for helping us put on this event. The event wouldn’t have been the same without Ashley Cox and guests providing the music for the event and artist Ally Walker for live painting. Importantly, an enormous thank you goes out to those in attendance and donors to help the cause.
